    I moved from California to the Bronx with DH for medical school, and I did the commute into Manhattan from the Bx for many years. Welcome to the site!

      Welcome! My ex did research in the Bronx - it was an, um, interesting place to live.

      What I did was to make up casseroles on the weekend and label them as to what time they needed to go into the oven and at what temp so he could put them in and dinner would be ready when the kiddo and I would get home. Pretty brainless on his part, other than remembering to do it and I would often call and remind him to do so.
