Okay--before anyone jumps on you for this (because yours truly made this mistake 1.5 years ago and caused enough waves with my overenthusiastic newbie posts that Kris had to put up a "reminder be nice to each other" sticky") there is a 100 post requirement so that you can ease in slowly and we can get to know you/make sure you aren't an insane crazyperson, etc. So the idea isn't to rapidly built up a post count with meaningless posts, but to really join in the discussion. The private forums can be very...private (to state the obvious)

See here for how NOT to reach 50/100 posts: :P

Ooo! Photography! There's quite a few photo enthusiasts on here--including me! Do you do it professionally or just for fun?

Oh, and I took a peek at your blog. Is that a "nifty fifty" lens on the camera in the bag?

Just for fun, although I have a site for where I host my pictures, I've never charged anyone *yet*. I'd like to, just haven't made the leap yet. It's fun though and I don't want to make it not fun by making it to business-y, you know?

You will get there soon enough. We really are a wonderful, dynamic group. Collectively we are oh so strong. Many of us have been here for over 10 years, and that says alot about the power of this group. I think you will find alot of support here, again - welcome.

Hello! Where does your husband work? I ask because my husband has only been in the NICU once but said he liked it enough that he is really considering it as one of his top choices.

                        Welcome to the crapfest, Kelli.

In all seriousness, though -- this group is a lifesaver. Whether you need a sympathetic reader to vent to or a slight reality check, we got you covered.

We just finished up Med School at IU and now my husband is in residency at St. Francis. There is a bookclub that I was part of for the last 2 years of med school. At this point, most of the husband are into residency, but they still meet every Wednesday night. About half have kids, they are a great bunch. If you want me to give you an email contact I would be glad to!

Welcome! My DH is at a fairly new med school - so there is not a group where I'm at either. I've thought about starting one - but run into the same thing you have - singles still living the college life! lol We have found one couple to hang out with who were just recently married - so that helps! Good luck trying to get the IU group started again!
