Welcome!! You're going to like it here!

So exciting to be this close to trying. We had our first baby a year ago, and while it's hard during residency, I've loved having my "little buddy" around while DH is gone. It's so much work doing everything semi-alone, but I'm not the only enabler on here who says go for it - it's so worth it!

Nope, she really isn't! We had our first (and only so far) at the end of MS1. Yea, we didn't really wait.

Hi. Welcome to the boards. I'm sorry that you're struggling, many of us have BTDT. There are YEARS worth of posts in the private sections describing in detail many of your concerns. For more specific advice, commiseration, story sharing, I recommend hanging around, joining the convo and building up your posts so we can get to know you. Once we have a basic familiarity with you, you will be permitted access to the private forums where we sit around the pool, drink martinis, and scarf down bon bons and generally just live the rockstar lifestyle of a doctor's wife or husband. (Read as: people sharing their life stories of living with an all encompassing medical career.)

Anyhoo, grab a seat and start chatting.

I love this! My DH and I are in the thick of figuring out when to start trying. I am ready now, but he is waiting for more time and money. hahaha Like that is going to happen any time soon!

I had all 3 kids during med school (well, DH was doing MD/PhD). Why? Why not? LOL

Want good reasons? #1. Let's have a baby! They're cute! (we did get a puppy when I was 7 mths preggo to prep for baby). #2. I want to nap with the baby. No, I had her first. Let's have another so we each have one. #3. (almost 7 years later) It's almost 4th year. Wouldn't it be cool if we had 3 kids during med school? That would be hilarious!

                        We're very rational people.

Welcome!!!! Another NSG spouse over here although we are only in our first year. Double, triple, quadruple UGH on NSG some days....! I grew up in Oakland, went to USF for undergrad and my whole family is still there so I'm glad to see another Bay Area peep around We are TOTALLY in the same boat on the kids, I'm the same age and it's weighing on me... But we would like to get through his intern year and part way through PGY-2 (since the new intern won't take call and DH will bear the brunt of it) to start trying. Being a med spouse, particularly a NSG spouse IMHO, blows some days, come here and post often!
