  • Hi there!

I am so glad I found this site!

I am exactly 17 days away from marrying a fourth year medical student. So excited!

Of course, at this point nothing is set in stone, but my FH plans to do an internal residency with a critical care/pulmonology fellowship. He then plans to be a hospitalist.

Third year was interesting, especially his underserved rotation, at which he had no phone service and we had to Skype to talk to each other.

I find it amusing, I've had the standard pre-wedding jitters, thinking I'm going to lose my independence, etc., but after reading some posts on here I've realized I'm probably going to look back and laugh at that fear, since I'm going to have more time alone than I'll know what to do with.

We are both 26. I'm a financial advisor. We do not have kids, and don't plan to until after residency. (Thank you, Mirena!)

I guess that's about it about us.

Welcome. My husband and I married duing M3 too, just before the match. Notwithstanding lots of alone time and self-reliance, residency and marrage will change your level of independence. But marriage has definitely got its benefits.

And, although I can spell and type well, using a blackberry while nursing a newborn leads to lots of typos. Forgive me.
