True, Mrs. K. Not sure I really want to know what the lurkers think let alone the seasoned members. I just can't take that kind of rejection.

Heidi, that surprises me. I'd think that you would just tell them to piss off if they didn't like what you said here.

Well, you "were" a lurker...meaning you weren't actively posting. It isn't negative, we're glad to have you here. Jump in and don't worry about it!

OK, Heidi, I have thick skin: let's move on? I admire you; you're "iffy" about me. I'm cool with that! What's the new ed post?

If I'm a lurker, ask away! I prefer to thin of myself as "cautious for good reason." Talk to me in 15 years.

I dropped in because I am tired, need a break from "proper." I can be vocal or VERY quiet. I had hoped to convey how much I admire all of you and what you share. If I failed, I apologize.

          Regardless, here I am.

And: I am not a newbie. I am seasoned, burned, DONE ( with medical life, not the group).

            Sheesh!

Sorry, I think I started something. "Lurker "is not intended as an insult. I think you're neat and your assessment of our group is pretty spot on. There are probably lots of cautious ones eavesdropping on our discussions. It's interesting to hear what th folks out there think. I like that. Really, pull up a chair and tell all. I'm facinated.

Actually, I'm really quite sensitive and care way too much what others think of me. Diggitydot is the one who'll tell you to pound sand. I actually get my feelbads bruised a lot. I have a tough outside and a very squishy inside. I pretend to be all leathery, but I'm a quick cryer and wear my heart on my sleeve and forehead too.

I've eaten bon-bons before. When I was a kid. My mom used to buy them occasionally. Yep, same mom that used to feed us chocolate sandwiches....two slices of bread, a little butter and a Hershey bar.

Oy, and I picked up "Newbie" from your thread title. Really, no insult intended.

Heidi, I know. But this is your house and anyone who doesn't like you can pound sand or we'll fire up the bus.

No problem with you at all. Not at all. Sorry if I came off that way. I'm awkward and tend to put my foot in my mouth. It's no wonder I have no friends IRL.

Didn't someone say something about a proceedure for removal of a foot from mouth?

Yep. Dr. K fan - *I* said that...and am the kind of woman who will admit all day long that I do that occasionally ( I ACTUALLY do it alot, only admit it occasionally).

I never endeavor to offend anyone. But I am tired of trying to be someone I am not.

Heidi, you are who you are. You did nothing to offend. Learn now not to apologize? For one, you have no reason to do so; secondly, even if you did, DON'T unless you INTENTIONALLY set out to hurt someone. Just my %.02...and I DID warn you I was a nut from the get-go)!

Guys, don't take me too seriously. I am who I am and I am tired of apologizing. You didn't bring me to this and you won't cure me of it. I am really very easygoing and - like Heidi - tired of being thick-skinned when I am just human like everyone else. I had hoped to meet people who understood that. Even if you aren't (or are) that, I admired you before my first post - or I wouldn't have posted. NO one is worth getting worked up over unless they are married to you, gave birth to you, or exited your womb (IMO).
