  • Hi!

Hi, My name is Holly. I'm new to these forums (obviously). My husband is in medical school, first year. We have three sons, ages 6, 4 and 1. This is a second career for him, so I wasnt' planning on this medical school stuff when we first got married! It's been quite the lifestyle change, but I am coping okay. I've been looking for support groups for a while, so I'm glad to have found this forum. I look forward to being here with all of you!

Thanks, ladies! I appreciate the welcome.

I *do* feel weird as a non-trad spouse. Not many of my husband's classmates are married, much less have kids. We went to a Halloween party last month and I really felt old!

Hi! We're in SC too but we've only been here for . . . wow, five months already! And my husband started med school at age 31, though he was just my boyfriend then.

Welcome! My Dh was non traditional too. Started med school at 28. I felt really old compared to most of his classmates who lied about him much they studied & how much alcohol they drank. Very highschoolish.
Wife to Hand Surgeon just out of training, mom to two lovely kittys and little boy, O, born in Sept 08.

Welcome! We're also non-trad, started school in mid-30s. Most of DH's class was at least a year or two older than "traditional", though, and about a fifth are married; there were even several others older than 30, which made us feel a little less alone.
