  • Hello

Hi!!! Let's see!! I'm currently a spouse of a third year medical student. We have a 1 year old and a dog. Look forward to getting to know people on here and getting advice and tips. I currently travel back and forth between two states because hubby is so busy with school that I have yet to meet new people in my town, that I prefer to just travel back where gmail is located. Looking forward to tips and advice

Welcome. I did the commuting thing during my husband's internship. It was miserable. I can't imagine doing it with a 1 year old. How far are you traveling? How often?

Welcome! Have you tried Meetup.com for mommy groups? I am in my currently location for my DH's one year of fellowship and I have found religious baby groups and meetup.com to be so helpful in meeting people and just giving me time to interact with other adults. Its huge for the sanity!

Welcome! Wife of MS-3 here, too!! Slogging through these rotations - it's going to be a busy year! Tell us more about yourself! What do you do for work? How far are you having to travel currently? What does your husband want to specialize in? You've found a great group, and a very supportive one too. We hope you stick around!

We've got an almost 8 y/o puppy too

Welcome! I second what L Jane said. We moved this summer and I found a great Mom's group through meetup. We have a 16 month old.

Still trying to figure this whole forum thing. Realized I said gmail when it should have said family. Oops . I drive 12 hrs everytime I travel since it's the cheaper way to travel and this last time I had help because my 1 year old doesn't like it anymore. It use to be once a month due to occasions but I'm worn out so this is my last month with family and then won't be coming back until June for a graduation. I have used meetup.com but I'm in such a rural area that it seems like no one uses the internet out there. So I use it to meet new people out here in Ca . I miss my husband terribly and I feel like a single parent everytime I'm back home with him so I always run back "home" with family but like I mentioned lol all that is going to stop pretty soon

Welcome! We ended up back in my hometown for residency, and I spend more time with my parents than anybody else. It's hard to make new friends! My daughter is almost 15 months old - it's such a fun age!
