Hi Jennifer- Welcome! I am one of the other Jennifers here. We are actually pretty close to you if you are in Columbus. We live in Cleveland where my husband just started his third year of a neonatology fellowship. I have just finished a part-time research project and currently stay at home with my almost 11 month old daughter.

I think I have a distant cousin who is in the surgery program in Columbus, but I don't know what year. His last name is Sonnenstine.

Glad to meet you and learning more about you.

    Jennifer

      Welcome Jenn

I am Luanne, my husband is a Pulmonologist. We have four children between us (16,17,18,& 19). This is a great place for support.

Welcome to the board! I don't post much, mainly due to a 7 month old puppy, err I main baby daughter, named Emma. She takes up a lot of my time these days now that she is crawling, and likes to eat Matt's $300 Anesthesia textbook, amongst the other paper products in our home.

Anywho, I am Crystal. Matt, my hubby, is an R2 in anesthesia at Univ WA. He went to medical school at UCHSC (Colorado). I lived in Highlands Ranch, CO for 6 years, and then moved up to Denver when I married Matt, and lived there for 5 years. Where in Denver do you and your hubby grow up?

As far as the children situation. Matt and I went through the same thing before we had Emma. He wasn't ready and I was. Then one day, (I don't know what changed his mind), he said "ok, I want to have a baby with you." He wouldn't trade it for the world. He is so excited to be a father and glad that we had Emma when we did. He is even coming up to me now and saying, "I'm ready to have another baby, let's have another baby. You just tell me when you are ready are ok?" Which is a big thing, because Matt is the "I want to stay a little boy/teenager all my life" type of guy.

As for me I am stay at home mother. Sometimes I miss my job, because I had a really nice job, but with that said I would to have had to give it up to move to Seattle anyway. My former boss told me anytime I want to work again, he could pull some strings for me at Univ WA. With that said, I have made the choice to stay home with Emma. Matt's salary is covering us fairly well. I know of some mothers who are able to work and take care of their children. A couple that attended our church in Denver was a lawyer and her hubby was an ER chief resident (they have since moved and he is practicing). She did private consultation (had a home business), and had 3 children (18 mos-4) with one on the way.

Sorry for the long post. I hope this helped.

        Crystal
