alison, they are totally debt free. no CC's...nothing. they built the house themselves over 2+ years...TLC or the discovery channel decorated it.

After spending Christmas with my family I can say its totally dependent on the person. I have an aunt with nine kids they are now ranging in age from 4-19, she could have easily had more. She hosted Christmas, had 50+ people IN her house (not huge by any means) and smiled the whole day - its just her personality.

Yeah, there are some women who are SUPER talented with organization, frugalness, and patience. I think those are abilities that we can all respect.

Actually, if we could all find our skill sets and respect each other's decisions accordingly, the women of this country in particular would be much better off.

I can tell you with 100% certainty that there's no way I could even remotely do what Michele Dugger does all day. Nope. If she's happy with her decisions then more power to her. I don't understand it but then again, I don't have to. Girl Power says that she is doing what she thinks is right for her family so to that I say, "Right on, sista".

I'm going to take a shower to get ready to go to my piddly 3/4 time job and to that I say, "yay, me!".

I'm surprised that when she gets pregnant, the baby just doesn't fall out on the kitchen floor when it comes time to give birth...

Anyway, more power to her...I guess.

There is a big difference between 5, 6, even 8 than SEVENTEEN. She's birthing a baseball team, batboys included.

I think as long as they're able to provide and care for all of their children and give them happy and healthy lives, they're free to have as many children as they like! It's definitely not a choice I would make, though...

I just somehow doubt that a lot of the girls have college in their futures.

It's a good thing that those of us with a lot of kids aren't as sensitive as those who don't have any yet... :>
