Will anyone be watching for the fun of it?

I'm going to watch just because....I can't help myself.

Seriously, I know Abigail and Jenn will vehemently disagree, but that was freakin' awesome!

Well, yes - a good zinger of a line, but he'd just finished saying that the line was given to him by one of his top advisors. Yes, the man had used it in his speeches before -- but no one can tell me that HRC writes all her own speeches and doesn't get lines from her advisors.

I think she's right. "If your candidacy is going to be about words, they should be our own words." I don't care as much about the issue of plagiarism as I do that he sold himself as fresh and an agent of change and...you don't say that by recycling other people's speeches even if that person doesn't care.

                      BUT

                      This was awesome:

"With all of the challenges that I have, they are nothing compared to the challenges I see many Americans facing every day right now...The hits that I've taken in my life are nothing compared to the things that many people are going through. That's what gets me up in the morning, that's what motivates me...."

That final question was her best moment of the debate.

I agree - the final question was her best moment. She didn't answer the question asked (how challenge has shaped HER character and prepared her to be commander in chief), but it was definitely a "see how compassionate I am, I'm a real person" kind of answer.

Back to the speech thing: He is promoting himself as an agent of change in Washington. He's not claiming he's the only person to have any of these ideas. He said many, many times tonight that he and HRC agree on most points of policy. The speech in question was given by a man who is a senior adviser on his campaign. They share the same opinion on the topic, and the man had a good way of saying it. It's not as though he was channel surfing, watched a speech and said "hey - let's work that in to my next stump speech." I think she's trying to make points out of nothing, and she got herself booed tonight when she made that slam.

Booed by Obama supporters. But I cheered. :>

That's ok. She's going to lose, but she went out with class. I love her. Love her, love her, love her.

Two? Does this mean you're giving Obama a chance to be more than a phenom?

My gut feeling is that Obama makes the better candidate but...that Clinton would make the better president. I'm not into pep rallies and it turns me off. That doesn't mean that I couldn't appreciate that I thought they both were good last night.

My not embracing a candidate completely doesn't mean that I can't see the good that they might possess. I don't villify him or hate him. I just don't have that lovin' feeling.

I've admitted though to being a strong Clinton supporter for over a decade...so clearly I'm biased...and I can admit it.
