"Senator McCain has spent the morning talking to members of the Administration, members of the Senate, and members of the House. He is optimistic that there has been significant progress toward a bipartisan agreement now that there is a framework for all parties to be represented in negotiations, including Representative Blunt as a designated negotiator for House Republicans. The McCain campaign is resuming all activities and the Senator will travel to the debate this afternoon. Following the debate, he will return to Washington to ensure that all voices and interests are represented in the final agreement, especially those of taxpayers and homeowners."

Translation: I was getting slaughtered in the press for not realizing that presidents don't get to call time out.

Good - we're going to a friend's house to watch it. Maybe McCain will tick me off so badly I'll go into labor.

and my VP looked like a complete idiot last night so I better go so that my base can be reassured that someone in my administration is familiar with foreign polilcy- and can form complete sentences.

We'll be watching, of course DH may be zonked after a bad call night but I'll be watching.

I'll watch. But, I'm worried I'll dislike BOTH of them so much I really will have to vote for a third-party or write-in candidate....

Now, a Biden/Palin debate - THAT will be entertaining! Between the two of them I'm expecting some shocking moments.
