  • Edward or Jacob?

    Who is it ladies?

I don't care what your answer is...just like a good, solid, eloquent debate of the issues...

This is so simple: Edward. I read the whole series, and I just still don't trust Jacob. My 12 year old sister feels the same way. Which really puts things in perspective, maybe I should care about more adult things.

Rocketboy - are you reading the books???? I want to gush about how absorbing they are. Ahhh, I'm about to read them all again.

Ok so I resisted this phenomenon for a really long time -- I thought "I am a grown ass woman, I do NOT need to be reading these juvenile vampire books."

and now that I've finally caved and read all 4 books, I gotta say....

How was that for a good, solid, eloquent debate?

P.S. I agree mmart36, Jacob seemed a little too... forceful. It started off as a cute little boy crush but personally I would have been pissed if he had forced a kiss on me like he did on Bella.

P.P.S. Did anyone see the trailer for New Moon at the VMAs?? Even DH was like "Not gonna lie, that looks like a pretty good movie." Looks like it has a lot of action in it.

Noooooo....I thought I left this behind on another board...

That being said, my roomies and I just decided that DF is going to be Edward for Halloween. He agreed to stare at me creepily all night and we are going to put glitter powder all over him.

Is there any question?! (in my best teenager voice) Uh-helloooo. Tsk! Edward. So romantic, putting the love of his life before himself, sigh.

              How's that for arguement?

I Am Switzerland. Oh wait, who am I kidding? Of course Edward! But I am looking forward to seeing Jacob without his shirt in New Moon...

After I read the series, I rented the movie, and DH actually watched it with me. His response? "That wasn't as bad as I thought it would be." I think I can convince him to go see the next one with me.

LOL! And so true. I honestly do have an inappropriate (and embarrassing) crush on Edward. I've downloaded Twlight (possibly one of the worst movies of all time) to my iTouch and watch and re-watch it while I ride the exercise bike -- and it's the only way I get thru my 10 to (YAY) 13 miles.

I've read the books more times than I feel comfortable saying, although I have decided to make myself throw one "real" book in after I finish the series each time.

And it's not that I don't trust Jacob, but Edward ALWAYS put Bella first and was never cruel to her the way Jacob could be at times. But, uh, yeah - New Moon is going to be awesome w/all of the hot Quileutes running around ...

I dont really even see why there is a debate on this. Really. It could only be Edward- for the same reasons that Niener states- IWANTTOHAVEHISBABIESTOOANDIAMAGROWNWOMAN.

Jacob's horrific wig in the movies only makes Team Edward stronger too.

Yes, of course. Ask me what the OTHER movie on my iTouch is. Clearly I have inappropriate crushes all around.

This historian or the genius who gave so many quote worthy passages along the lines of, "So long and thanks for all the fish,"?

Um - Thank you! That was my first thought in the movie! I was like... "WHA?! That isn't Edward, its Cedric..!"

We own the movie and I still haven't watched it, but based on the insanely romantic vision in my head from the books I'd have to say Edward. Stinky, hairy, sulking werewolves don't appeal to me.

Could Edward be any more perfect? His one flaw was letting Bella name the baby.
