I almost cheered when they moved off the first question. I was beginning to wonder if there would be another question. I also find the time limit hilarious. There's a two minute time limit...unless you'd like to talk longer than two minutes. I'm pretty much liking them both less the more I listen.

Here we have yet another disgusting, pathetic spectacle that I've subjected myself to. I throughly hate both sides. I've got the Red Sox game on - what channel has the debate?

              Lol.

I don't like watching debates. I hate arguing and conflict, and if I want to know more about their actual stance on various policies, I'll look up their platforms and voting records. What they say in a debate doesn't make much of a difference to me. DH had it on in the other room and I was getting annoyed just hearing little snippets of Romney's voice... Of course, DH could watch Fox News just for "entertainment" so he could make fun of and critique all the stupid things they say. Different strokes...

We DVRed it, but I'm not sure yet if I'll watch. I can't get into this election; I just don't want either candidate to win. :-/

I watched part of it but all debates do is piss me off so I'm not sure why I did. This is what I hate... "You suggested $5 trillion in tax cuts"... "I never said that"... "Yes you did"... "No I didn't"... "Yes you did"... "No I didn't"... and that continues for 20 minutes. Can we please just do like the Daily Show and cut to the clip where he either said it or didn't say it, prove who is right, and move the hell on?!?!

Although I will say I was disappointed in Obama's performance and pleasantly surprised by Romney's. I hope Obama's not getting complacent with his lead because Romney clearly isn't done yet.

I missed the part on healthcare -- did Obama bring up Romney's "ER" gaff? Because I really would like to hear him explain that one.

For the love off all things hysterically political, please, PLEASE allow Jon Stewart to moderate a presidential debate. Pretty please. I would pay money to watch it.

I was in shock. I thought Romney was such a boring dud. He completely racked Obama. I felt like crying with joy. Finally--from a conservative's point of view--somebody stood up and call Obama out on all of his superficial, sanctimonious bullsh*t. Go, Mitt. But, without a doubt, the highlight of the night was watching Axelrod and the mainstream media pathetically scramble in post-debate shock.

Hopefully, Romney will stick with it and not puss out.

I read it was Michelle and Barack's 20th anniversary. That really sucks for them. He owes her something really nice!!!

The consensus on NPR this morning (even on the hideous Diane Rehm Show) was Romney won. I was very surprised at Obamas performance because he is such a good speaker, but I guess there really is a difference between TelePrompted speeches and unscripted debate. He just seemed unprepared and wasn't as vivacious as he usually is. He also could have had a better handle on his grimaces etc while Romney was talking. Romney did a good job of that, though it came out in the weird crying admiration look I posted above

Obama wished his wife a happy anniversary at the very beginning. I thought it was common agreement that Obama was not as good of a speaker without a TelePrompTer?

I only watched bits and pieces, it was a usual annoying debate IMO. In the short time we watched I don't know how they could say either won.

Yes this. Romney was even funny a few times. DD16 forced me to watch and I'm glad he did. I'm sure Obama will do better in the Town Hall format. Can't wait for Biden V. Ryan
