Is the race really this close? Who do you think will win?

What do you think? Are we really split down the middle as a country or will there be a clear winner?

I've been following the news cycle this week more than usual and it occurred to me that if this was a boring ... Obama wins by 10 points .... type race, the networks/online sources would have nothing to talk about. I wonder if it is really that close....

I think Obama will win and that it will be by a large enough margin that there will be no talk of fraud, etc. That's just my guess though.

I agree, Kris. I think Obama will win. I think the popular vote might be close, but because of the way it works, Obama should win.

Honestly, PAC's and SuperPAC's need to be abolished.

For the first and probably last time in my life tomorrow I will vote in a swing state in swing county! So excited.

Anyone see the 60 minutes interview with historical author David McCullough? I got a kick out of him talking about the 1800 presidential race- apparently it wins for most negative campaigning ever. One side was accusing the other of everything from rape to being a hermaphidite! I guess we haven't gotten that bad. Yet.

Our state of Idaho will undoubtedly go to Romney. We recently went to UT for a quick and cheap family getaway, and the paper we read there predicted that Romney is expected to get 85-90% of the popular vote in the state of Utah, predicting Reagan proportions.

I don't know who will win, because I read so much "Obama is up X points" from source A, but source B says "Romney is ahead," that I don't know what to think. No one can really predict what the voters will do. Dh read that the last time voter turn out was higher than 50% was LBJ. I do wish though that who ever wins that the other side will have hopes that the country's business will be carried on, and that we have positive thoughts for the person in office. Honestly, we still have it much better than 98% of the population in the world.

As far as locally, we have ballot measures for education, and that has gotten downright dirty. Every other ad is about Idaho's Proposition 1, 2, and 3. Millions of dollars have been spent on both sides of the issue, and I keep thinking "wow, instead of spending that millions on advertising, you could have donated it to our educational system."

We have a Supreme Court judge that decided to take super pac money from some tea party types. One of the first state supreme court judges to do that in the whole country. His signs and commercials are everywhere. Its very strange. He isn't being negative but its very strange to see a judge campaigning so strongly. His message is about bipartisan fairness etc etc. I just don't understand it. Apparently he's a test case of sorts since big money isn't normally spent on those types of campaigns.

I didn't vote in any of the judicial races as I feel party has little to do with how good a judge is and I didn't have the time to do any research the day I voted. Although, I tried to research them in 2010 and came up with squat
