I'm sorry, but anyone who'd call me names because of something like political disagreements is someone I would no longer interact with, family/friends or not. Not because of a differing opinion, but because they're immature.

I know you didn't Abigial. I'm ... not an attorney though, so I think I hear things differently.
I don't respect the reasoning that leads someone to vote to Obama, but that does not mean I am angry at that person. I assume that no one is angry at me for voting for Romney, just because they don't respect or agree with the reasoning that lead me to that.
I actually do respect the reasoning that led you to your choice. I also respect the reasoning that led someone else her to choose Obama. I respect the reasoning that led Chris to vote libertarian. I don't necessarily agree with their vote, but I do respect their reasoning.
I think we're quibbling. I'll stop. I respect and like you and I share your anger and frustration....for similar and different reasons.~Mom of 5, married to an ID doc

Some of the things that she said were pretty hurtful to me. I'm trying to just understand her perspective so I can let go of that ick in the pit of my stomach. It wasn't about her not expressing herself in an intelligent way ... it was really the veracity of the opinion and distaste for mine.Tara
