Mapplebum, I think it sounds like she has a little crush on your husband and he's doing a good job of deflecting her. His comments about her not working hard are probably more for your benefit, his way of reassuring you that she isn't a threat to your relationship. Aside from her, I'm sure he has great respect for a lot of nurses he works with. DH has worked with plenty of nurses who did the bare minimum and plenty whom he would trust with his life.
