I guess it's hard to imagine that either $1M or $100M would affect our lifestyle at all, except that it would be harder to live simply and anonymously with a huge bankroll like that.

I'd choose the $1M because if I were the one who hit the red button, I could claim that I'd made a financial contribution to the family and would be much more comfortable with not working for a while longer. It would be a huge load off my mind. Plus DH could probably retire 5-10 years sooner.

I would go for the $1 million definitely! We still have debt and it would be nice to be able to pay for him to do med shook without loans and to still be able to live during it without scrimping due to my lousy paycheck.

A million. I'm the girl that would put a dollar into the slot machine and cash out any time I made it over that.

This, except we are only 3 years out and we have not paid off our house. I'd go green for this same reason. Having a million dollars would be super-nice, but it would not be life-changing. I'd just put it in savings. $100 million? I have about a jillion charities I would give to, I'd quit my job, and I would move my parents to Atlanta and out of Pittsburgh.
