I am starting to wonder if Trump understands that U.S. presidents only get two terms max. At a rally in Raleigh he said he'd tell Obama, "You're fired!", and while tweeting during Obama's address he said, "We need a new president." Like...The guy is at the end of his second term. We are getting a new president. Wtf. Is he just pandering?

Re: Anyone supporting Trump
I wish I was.
IF I was, I could be living in a wonderfully delusional universe with rainbows and unicorns. Life would be simpler.
Seriously, I think the stuff he says has to be an act. Think about negotiations in our fields...someone that said whatever popped in their head and used the word stupid as much as he does probably would not get as far. Finally - we are finished with training! Hello real world!!

Not to mention that Trump recently gave a speech to the Jewish Republicans repeatedly referring to Jews as "you guys" and talking about how Jews like money and like to "renegotiate" deals. Highly inflammatory anti-semitic stereotyping.

I also really wish some of the Democratic candidates would speak up strongly against him. I know it's safe to let him hang himself but standing silently is unacceptable.

I think a ton of people have spoken out today. Both sides. Problem is, his supporters don't care what everyone else says. They think Trump is the only one "brave enough" to speak the "truth".

I was listening to a radio morning show today and an older man called in and asked one of the DJs how he would feel of a Muslim family moved next door. He said the DJ had to answer from his "heart" not from his mind. I couldn't fucking believe it. He may as well have said, "Follow your most base instinct, likely fueled by the 24/7 news cycle and fear-mongering journalists and politicians, and then completely ignore your rational mind." Unbelievable.
I know people who've said they'd sit this election out if Trump were the nominee, regardless of who the democratic nominee is. I absolutely know people who will sit out if it is Sanders v. Trump. If it ends up that way I feel like I will have to beg people to reconsider that stance. In a scenario like this, taking no action is as bad as voting for someone like Trump. In fact, it feels like it's even worse.
