How could I have missed a thread about shopping

I can't believe I just stumbled on this! Feel like I need to address 4 pages worth of issues.

Sizing: I kind of like vanity sizing, guess cause I'm vain. I would really much rather buy pants in a 6 than an 8, when I know that I'm really an 8. I rather not think of the days when I could fit into a 2 at the same stores where now I get an 8. I also need to have about 80% of what I buy altered. Mostly winter stuff, in the summer I can get away with buy cropped pants and wearing them as regular length ones.

Shoes: My feet are pretty small and I'm often reduced to buy a 6 and then wearing it with insoles and socks. I really can't understand why more companies can't make shoes smaller than 6 (and why department stores can't carry them). They have size 00 but not 5.5 shoes. Doesn't make sense.

Bras: After the recent bra info overload, I finally admitted that I've gained a cup size while being on the patch and need to throw out all my bras and start from scratch. Finally came home from 5 new bras from Calvin Klein. His stuff is just so comfy and fits me perfectly.

Diamonds: One carat for every year sounds awesome. Sign me up. Where do we start counting though. Although I'll be pretty happy with 4 carats too. We'll be about 6 months post-training for our 5th wedding anniversary and I'm hoping we'll be able to afford a nice upgrade for my ring. I'd love to double my center stone (which will only bring me to 1.5).

Bus: If we're all going somewhere together, it has to be a place I can take everyone shopping. Are there any good malls in Columbus, OH?

      5th anniversary is wood.

      I got a chair.

Columbus is decent enough for my fellow shopper at the local mall to lament the lack of shopping here

RE: Bras--I can't say enough good things about the VS Ipex bra. Mine are temporarily taking a hiatus so that I can wear those incredibly sexy nursing bras.

        RE: Carats--I'm due 7! I can't wait!

RE: Sizing--my mil (a petite Asian woman) complains about petite clothing. Apparently most of the petite selections in her opinion are silly looking, juvenile, etc. I hear Banana Republic now has a good petite line, though. I used to have a heckuva time when I was in high school, I was tiny and had to shop in the children's section. Very embarassing, though jeans were cheaper and you couldn't tell the difference with those. I don't get why you can't purchase women's clothing in the same manner as men. They can buy pants and shirts by using their inseam, waist, etc., and pretty much ensure a good fit.

Same here. The wire in the IPEX bras pokes me in all the wrong places. The Body bras are great on the other hand. And I love love love the VS jeans, they fit perfectly.
