Thanks for the feedback. I am planning on sticking to residential homes for now. Don't really want to pigeon hole "house" as some places might be apartments or condos.

Welcome Home and Desired Home are not available. Desired Living sounds (to me) like a retirement community.

So the overall consensus is to keep thinking? I do realize that we all won't be able to agree on one name and I understand that I won't please everyone but wanted to get a general feel for the name.

I like the concept too... envy just makes me think "green" and I'm not sure that is what you are going for.

So I stumbled across this and thought of you:

          http://www.designsponge.com/

She started with a blog...how about you? It's a low-cost, easy way to get people interested in your work! Wordpress, though it does take some know-how to build something solid on it. Still doable--tons of tutorials out there! I think it would garner more interest than a fancy schmancy website (not saying you shouldn't have any website, though) right out of the box.

Here's another, though her blog is more of an addition to the website

Thanks, those are great blogs and very inspiring. I'm slowly progressing, but not as fast as I'd like. So far I'm having most problems with finding time to work on the business. Need to buckle up and realize that sleeping is overrated and do more work at night.

I keep motiving myself with the thought that Kris has 5 kids, takes classes and still has time to publish and even start her own publishing company. I need some lessons.

Haha, if Kris and GrayMatterWife are the standard, I'm screwed!

Looks fabulous - can we like it or would you prefer to stick to local people?

Looks great! I love what you have done to your home!

I don't know what type of camera you are using, but if you are using an SLR, I would think about renting a 10mm lens and taking more pictures of your place. You have a beautiful open layout, from what the pictures show, and the 10mm will give you a bit more of that open feel in the pictures

Get a dSLR, but body only! You need a good lens (though I'm not sure what I would recommend besides what GRU said) and don't need to waste money on a kit lens! Yay for you!

I'm going to tip-toe in, get off-topic, and say that I do use my kit lens... Since I use my dSLR as my only camera, I've found that the kit lens gives me more options when we're at things like kids parties or on vacation. Not having a zoom on the lens makes it really impractical sometimes to get that cute shot of the kids that are too far away (or too close) for the better lenses I have. Of course, for those situations, it would probably be more practical for me to just have a good point & shoot, but that's not an option right now. I'd love recommendations for something with a similar range that takes better pictures than my kit lens. I can definitely tell the difference.

                              Sorry, hijack over!

I understand. I keep my 50mm on my camera because it fits best in my bag, but it confuses the heck out of anyone I hand the camera to. I think my other "zoom" is an 18-55 mm, but I'm not sure how much it was (I bought it for $200 used) and there are LOADS of options out there. Try posting on photo.net
