So, DH is going to ask. Why the hell not?
When I was 17 and applying to college I had my heart set on studying with the cello teacher at USF. Either I don't remember if I received an actual letter of rejection, or if the application showed pending for a really long time. So at the suggestion of my oldest sister I started calling admissions. Again and again and again. When I finally got the answer that I was rejected because I was missing a French credit for their minimum requirements I started asking for their boss. Whoever I was talking to to I asked to talk to their boss. You know how huge that school is, something like over 40,000 students. So it took months of calling. Lots of waiting on the phone. Every. Single. Day. At a certain point I stopped questioning what I was even doing and just made it a part of my daily routine without second though! Eventually I got to THE BOSS (I must had been gaining a reputation). I don't remember there being much conversation. She went into the system and personally accepted me to the university, over the phone!! I totally didn't meet their guidelines but I didn't care. I knew I was a strong applicant and an exception to their rule. I deserved to be there.
I don't know if being accepted is in your cards for this year but you can do this. Keep fighting. Don't get discouraged. It's going to happen.

Yes - use any connection you have! I can't tell you how many premeds DH has helped get accepted post rejection, knowing they were hard workers , had reasons for deficiency that were legitimate, etc. we want this so much for you and you'll be a great PA!

Oh Heidi! I'm so sorry that you didn't get admitted on your first attempt. I know it feels like a crushing blow. It's not fair. I hope that you are able to get some help behind-the-scenes. If that doesn't pan out, find out what worked against you so that you can go into the next cycle prepared to knock it down. I know people who have needed 2 or 3 attempts to get in ... but they all say that it was worth it!
I'm so sorry my friend.
Kris

I'm so sorry to hear this! But I agree with everyone else - don't give up! PA schools just have way more applicants than spots (my alma mater got 1000 apps for 44 spots this year!). Keep kicking ass in your prerequisite classes, do whatever else you can to bolster your application, and get back on that horse and try again. You can do this!PA and wife of a PGY2 in neurosurgery. And "cat-mom" to the two sweetest cats anyone could hope for.
