My mom has been doing our taxes so far but next year she's encouraging us to get a professional. I want DH to ask around after he starts and meet with someone in the fall to start planning before the year ends. Did I mention I'm a little OCD when it comes to finance.

Me!! One of the great things about being an accountant is not having to pay an accountant to do our taxes and financial planning. Now, if I could only sylishly cut my own hair

We went to H & R Block this year since it was our first year filing together. It cost $119 but we got over $2000 back so it was worth it. We would never have thought to include interest paid on DH's loans etc. We also got $40 back because of some stupid tax Pennsyvania had on long-distance phone calls that was abolished. Every little helps!

My husband handles all the tax stuff. If he's got a question, then I just call my accountant friend and have them talk. I hate doing taxes...
