We're not getting one, either......but it does seem like people are out spending their refunds....the stores were crowded today considering it is a Monday.

I went to Costco yesterday and holy cats was it crowded. Granted it was around the lunch hour but it was busier than usual.

According to the letter we were sent, it was supposed to hit the account "no later than May 9". It's May 9 and it's not here!

DH looked this up because we were wondering where ours was, too.

Turns out those dates based on primary filer's SSN....only apply if they processed your form before the 15th of April.

So, we'll be waiting for ours for a while, since we mailed ours ON the 15th.

Our tax return was filed in February and my SS # ends in 04 so the only thing that I can think is that they're using Rick's SS # which ends in 85.

Annoying. Not that I'm going to go all crazy, as I said but I have bills to pay!!

Ah. Yeah, if he was the "primary filer", you'll be getting it later.

We did get our refund today, I just found out. Federal, anyway...still waiting for a couple of state refunds, too.

Our rebate was deposited into the checking account overnight last night.

I was in the Apple store yesterday for dh's bday present, and that place was HOPPIN'...never seen it so crowded.

We got it today and it was gone with a few quick keystrokes to various creditors and to lock a portion up in savings. Kind of sad.

I don't trust myself.

I was flossing last night and I noticed something on my back molar... a huge hole. I can NOT believe I don't have pain from it. So, part of rebate check, cavity filled. I was born with crappy teeth. Could be worse, but they are soft and all have some kind of decalcification that could/will end up in cavities. My dentist back home told me I had 6 teeth that were reading weak and would end up having cavities. I just wish one hadn't shown up right before the travel season... well better than passing out in pain on the beach.

crap.
Days like this I hate DH and his inability to get cavities, even with only seeing a dentist every 5 years or so, and he doesn't floss!

Ours came in the mail today. It's going to the last two months of Crunchy School tuition. yay.

Well, I'm going to use the refund (deposited yesterday) as an excuse to go to the pub, eat dinner and drink while watching the O's (DW is on call).

But....I guess the money was spent. We went on vacation in April (celebrated 5th anniversary, DW's birthday, and escape from residency -- all early). Also, in April finally got the freakin bathroom (the only one in our house) after mucho suffering repaired (10 K for those playing along at home).

So, it was spent before it came but I'm doing my part...I guess I never shopped after 9/11 which was supposed to be my duty.
