Re: Auto Insurance
I've used State Farm since I was 16 and I've never had a problem. Right now, I use them for cars, renters ins., homeowner's contents ins., personal articles, and an umbrella policy. In fact, our State Farm agents were a huge help when we moved. Our FL agent helped us find an OH agent. The OH agent called as soon as we got to town, came to our house, signed us up, and helped us out with getting our vehicle registration transferred and with a FL DMV snafu. Also helped us with combining policies since we were newly married and DrK had been with Progressive. The FL agent still calls me every month or so to help with matters pertaining to our condo in FL and has even helped me with my Citizens policy. (Citizens is the extremely uncooperative last resort wind-storm coverage provider for hurricane prone areas. They are just miserable. Don't use them unless you must.)
Also, my folks lost a house insured by State Farm during Hurricane Andrew. State Farm was very responsive and my folks were happy with their settlement. State Farm even paid for meals out when the kitchen was unusable. Too bad State Farm won't provide windstorm coverage any more.
