We deducted them but our circumstances were a little different. Since DH was in the MD/PhD program, he was paid a small stipend that we received a W2 for every year. I considered that employment, so he essentially was looking for a new job within the same field.Charlene~Married to an attending Ophtho Mudphud and Mom to 2 daughters
