So we talked to our financial guy and he really just wanted to clarify what we did and didn't want to own. He didn't try to dissuade us. He said he understands the conflict so he'll check with us going forward if he thinks we should have anything that might be a conflict.Wife to NSG out of training, mom to 2, 10 & 8, and a beagle with wings.

You need a new financial advisor if yours is picking individual stocks. Uncompensated risk is a risk for which you are not paid because it can be diversified away. Individual stock risk is one of those. No benefit to owning it. Set your goals, choose an asset allocation, then choose the investments to fulfill the asset allocation.
