I think it's interesting to witness history/be aware of the birth of an historically significant person at the time that his/her birth happens. We don't have many opportunities for that. Imagine if we knew that Winston Churchill was going to be historically significant . . .

Wouldn't it be nice if we knew that this new member of the royalty is actually going to be significant before we expended all of this energy? While Elizabeth II contributed importantly to England via WWII, Charles as been a gaseous waste of space, as have his siblings. Sure ain't no Churchills. Royalty doesn't been relevant anymore, unless you're talking about gossip magazines and polo matches.

Eh, that's what they are though. Celebrities. I don't think most people think any differently. They do provide an outlet for the gossipy tendencies of man; maybe if we had a figurehead family to talk about we wouldn't turn politics in to gossip.

I totally thought it was going to be a girl. Guess I'm gullible - I 100% believed that little "slip up" she had earlier this year saying her "daug---baby will love" a gift someone offered her.

8 lbs 6 oz. Born at 4:24 pm boy. I think in the other thread I said my guess was a boy named Philip. Congratulations to the family!

I can't recall the odds on Henry but I know George is the top contender because of 6 prior King's being George. I still guess Philip though after his Grandfather.

I've been watching "The Tudors" on Netflix. He was batshit crazy. As much as like the name Henry, it would be in very poor form.

And yes, he really should have Spencer in there somewhere.

I haven't seen that. Now you make me curious HoW. I still say Philip after the Grandfather. I saw the list again and the top two are George or James (for her brother). I really don't see that happening. I also saw Arthur was on the list. Has there ever been a King Arthur besides in the myth and the Disney movie?

Well King John did sign the Magna Carta - so there's that. I think if you were going strictly on bad ass former kings, you'd probably go for Edward. Long line of strong Edwards in that history. Except for the one that gets thrown from a tower by dear old dad in Braveheart.

I suppose we've ruled out Tyrion Aragon Dumbledore.
