I'm hoping it's just lyrics with no meaning. I think it is. It'd be even worse if it was a euphemism/metaphor or something...she was like somewhere between 10 - 12 when it was released. Creepy. I re-watched the video and it's fairly harmless, but her lyrics talk about "keeping the party going" which, as we all know, is something to definitely encourage among 5th-7th graders. Mostly it's just a repetitive, annoying song to me, but that's mostly because I don't care for that type of music and I feel weird being a fan of an elementary schoolers music. God I sound old.

I'm just now watching it. I don't give half a shit about most of the acts, but I was pretty stoked to see JT rock the house and Macklemore kick some ass. Miley and Taylor Swift are nothing more than annoying little sideshows.

I didn't see any porn, either. And while I thought Miley's shtick was weird, it seems like the typical "ZOMG, I'm totally NOT a teen, anymore! See?" crap.

Ha - I had to ask my husband what that was! I think it's really embarrassing for her.

A couple of articles I liked:
        http://www.sherriohler.com/2013/08/26/miley-is-me/
        http://www.air1.com/blog/brant/post/...or-adults.aspx

Then again, I was also confused as to why there were so many young children at this weekend's 7pm showing of Planes, because I was most certainly in bed when I was their age!

I'm so glad I'm not the only one who thinks Miley and Taylor need to go away. I didn't watch but saw stills of her (uh performance?) and kept thinking them tight panties are a yeast infection waiting to happen.
