BR are great for curvy figures. I love mine, although they could be stretchier, with all the up and down and around that I do with M.

Since you're still losing weight, maybe try Kohls for inexpensive with a decent fit. They have all sizes, styles, fits, etc., and the one by the dance studio is not very busy.

If you feel like you're at a plateau and are willing to spend, hit Nordie's and try on every kind!

FWIW, I've gone through 5 sizes since K2 was born. Every time I think I've plateaued, my size changes. I wouldn't invest in expensive jeans until I was 9-12 months pp. Unless you plan to get pregnant again right away. Then don't bother or shop second hand.

R is 2 and I still haven't bought new jeans but once we get moved and I get back to the gym I'll be spending all day at Nordy's if necessary.

I think inexpensive jeans typically are not very flattering. I would rather have one pair of nice jeans I feel amazing in rather than multiple cheap pairs. That's just me though.

I'm willing to do the $50-70 range now, but not the $150 day at The Jean Bar yet...

I think that's a good price range. By inexpensive I mean $40 and below. The pockets are usually wonky and the denim is odd...

I found that I lost tons of weight while breastfeeding and had to get some new clothes because pp ones just fell off. But as soon as I stopped, it all came back within weeks and for the most part I returned to my pp size. I wouldn't invest into a brand new wardrobe until a couple of months after you stop breastfeeding/pumping.

I agree with Kelly about Loft quality but I've also felt that way about BR for years. I actually think GAP has better quality than BR.

Do you have any outlets nearby? That's where I get all my Joe's and 7's. Little highjack, I just found a hole on the butt of my favorite pairs of 7's. They're not even 2 years old but I guess all that sliding around on the floor with DD took its toll on them. I wonder if their quality went down too. My previous pairs last for many more years than that.

I'm just gonna go ahead and revive a half-dead thread because of my totally over the top, uncontrollable love of denim. At times I have owned as many as 30 pairs of jeans, in every possible brand and cut. It's an addiction, and I don't want to get help. My recent findings:

                    - I have given up on 7FAM because, despite my northern european ancestry, I don't have a flat white girl butt. These jeans do WONDERS for those with the saggy butt jeans problem, but I find that they kinda squish me.
                    - Joe's are much better for my butt situation, but I'm disappointed in them because my most recent pair ripped out a belt loop in the first week. I did have the amazing luck of finding 2 pairs of Joe's at a thrift store in my size for less than $10 each, and I wear these all the time.
                    - I am sort of in love with a pair of high-rise trouser jeans I found on sale at the Gap recently, because I've gained a few lbs and they are super slimming. Also, begging to be worn with some espadrilles and a flowy shirt for the whole 70s effect. It's gonna happen as soon as the weather warms up.
                    - I must be the only person on earth who actually looks good in Old Navy jeans. As long as I go with a long length, dark wash and low rise, they actually fit my butt really well and don't sag. They work as a good basic, everyday jean for me, and save my nicer jeans for days when I'm not just working at home or going to the grocery store.

I love jeans. Jeans jeans jeans.

Well since the thread has been revived I'll go ahead and own up to the fact that I've turned to the dark side -- I bought my first pair of premium denim a few weeks ago and I FLOVE them so so much. They are so soft!! I'm petite with hips and an ass so maybe this will help someone: I went to Nordstrom and they had 3 kinds of petite jeans, one by Citizens, one by Hudson and one by AG. The Hudson ones were clearly not made for someone with a booty. The back pockets cut across at an odd place, it just looked strange. I took the Citizens and the AGs home. The Citizens stretched out a ton so that in the morning they were quite snug and by the afternoon I had major baggy butt, and if *I* have baggy butt that's an issue. The rise in the back was also quite low, so combined with baggy butt I would have been plumbering it up all day. The AGs didn't stretch nearly as much as the Citizens and the rise in the back seems a little bit higher (though still not as high as I'd prefer but with 90% of the shirts I wear it's fine). Plus the rinse is very flattering and they are just so stinking comfortable, so AGs it is!

My DH only owns AGs. He is super sexy in them, so I can honestly say I'm a big fan.
