  • Fashion help!

I just got asked to be an extra on the show Grimm. Shooting is Wed, and I am to bring my own cocktail dress. I am not sure yet if I can do it because 1) I still am not feeling great and 2) I don't have a lot of energy. However, I am going to try very hard tomorrow to rally so that I can do this.

OK all you fashionistas....what to wear with my LBD? Sparkle or no sparkle? Hair up or down? What type of makeup? I have been on TV before and have the heavy matte theater makeup base, but what color on my eyes?

    TIA for your help!

No advice, just a "Yay You!" cheer from me. Take it easy as much as possible, so you can rock that look.

So exciting! I agree - wear your hair down and go for one statement piece! Classy vs. overdone. Can't wait to see - just ran into Smash filming in grand central the other day - love this stuff.

When I was an extra on The West Wing, I dressed the way they suggested, and the costume department rejected it and put me in something else. So be ready for that. But I hope you can do it - totally fun!

If you dig around a bit, I posted a YouTube clip of it.

My brother was on... Leverage? ...a couple months ago. Something else they film in Portland.

Once we get WGW take care of, can we take up a collection for the horrible fashion disasters at the Westminster Kennel Club show? Pretty please? The dogs are far better groomed and dressed than the people showing them and it makes my eyes bleed, which *totally* fucks up getting my cute pup fix.

On FB, they have a "Dog Show Fashion Police" page, where people post REAL PICTURES of handlers/owners/spectators from actual shows. Best. thing. ever.
