Not sure if you can upgrade at all without switching your data plan...might want to check. You could buy a 4 or 4s really cheap right now though.

I've noticed mine is getting slow too, but I suspect it has more to do with how I use it than anything. If I can find the time to wipe it and clean things up, I'm pretty confident it will get better. Same with my laptop. The technology isn't old enough to be getting slow due to age.

If AT&T users can still upgrade without losing their plan, do it now, because they are expected to follow Verizon, of they haven't already.

I cannot get a new phone until 11/28 (I am counting the days because my current phone has many, many problems. So many that I am tempted to get a dumb phone just to tide me over until I can get a smart phone.) I am hoping to get the new 5 because there is an app for the EMR we use at work for the iPhone but not android. I am on Verizon and the new 5 should be able to do data and talk at the same time due to network upgrades that Verizon is doing this summer/fall, according to the local Verizon guy I was talking to in July.

We have the 4 from two years ago and our contract was up in August. Our batteries hardly hold a charge. Trust me when I say DH will be ordering both of ours on the first day. We are also selling our old ones to Gazelle for $360!!

They buy iPhones, etc. We got our price locked in a few weeks ago and they sent us a prepaid envelope to mail it off. Just have to mail it off by the 1st of October.

They definitely pay well too! The BF sold them his old, super shitty iPhone 3, and got a pretty great price. I don't remember what it was, but it was waaaaaaay more than expected!

That's how DH talked me into getting new phones. We'll being paying $40 out of pocket for the new phones. Can't beat that. All though of course DH wants to spend an extra $100 for the one with more storage. Whatev dude.

I finally ran out of room after a 1,000 pictures and couple dozen video, plus all the stupid apps that automatically go to my phone when DH downloads something. I figured it was then time to delete some pictures, specifically the 200 taken by my kids! I tried to upload directly to Coscto but it took to long.

I would love to get the 4s as it will be cheap now, but I don't think they will do both data and voice on Verizon, which I will need. I am reluctant to switch to AT&T because I have pretty good coverage now.
