Did you lose your data plan? That is what is stopping me. My coworker has the new data plan and she hardly uses her phone anymore.

I got a new 4 via the Genius bar and the dude mentioned a possible workaround that we might do when DH needs a new phone. If you buy an existing Verizon iPhone 5 that is broken and bring it to the Genius Bar, you can buy a new one via them for about $250-$300 and it will not affect your plan. If the phone is under AppleCare, it's a lot cheaper. I guess it depends on how cheaply you can buy a broken 5, but it is something to think about. I cant connect to WIFI at work and neither can DH so I will fight tooth and nail to keep our unlimited plan!

I am currently on a 2gig plan, and mostly use it on wifi, so it isn't that big of a deal.

I cannot wait, because I am currently rebooting my droid 2-4x daily. It just doesn't work well any more. I've tried removing all extraneous apps, which helped a bit, but it is still a huge headache.

I guess it doesn't matter then anyway.

I feel your pain. At the end of my phone's life it was just powering down randomly, taking a nap for a few hours (completely unresponsive) and then waking up like nothing was wrong. And I would have no idea when it would happen

I can't connect to the wifi at my work either, and thought my phone was broken. ST, why is it we can't connect to wifi at work? It pisses me off!

Well I can but it would be a PITA, subject me to their privacy rules, and kill my Pandora access. No thanks!

Huh?? I am so confused. There's a super secret reason why the new iPhone's don't connect to wifi outside of your home? I'm pretty technologically-savvy, but this one eludes me. It's probably because I've been so ensconced in dissertation hell that I haven't had time to look into this issue further.

I had issues with my iPhone5 at work too. I reset my network settings and now it works perfectly!

Sorry WGW, what I meant is I could connect my 4 to the network at work but it would be a PITA and not worth it due to company policy.

ST - my workplace has some fairly relaxed policies...

I think our baby monitors are killing our wifi at home. Is that crazy? I use 4G almost all the time because I can't keep a signal on wifi.

Not sure - it's from the cable company. We got it in July, but it may have been used before. I had problems with my wifi back in OKC, too. It seems like it got worse after we added the second video monitor camera.
