Those are gorgeous! Anne Klein makes a wide shaft boot. That's what I have.

I can't believe no one is making "wide shaft" and "shaft diameter" jokes. C'mon people! I can't entertain myself here!

      Also, nice boots.

Sorry, I've been off my game for the last couple of days.

Although, I must be getting my mojo back because I cracked a joke and the check-out girl almost fell over. I'm sorry, but a 3' *pork* roast? That motherfucker is phallic.

Love those boots, Brandi! I love my Fryes that DH got me for Christmas a few years ago. I also got a pair of black, knee-high Rockports before our trip to Italy and I wore them with skinnies every single day. They performed amazingly on all the stone streets, just got some wear on the soles and broke in nicely. I think they'll be my new go-to, since apparently now anything with a heel gives me tendonitis. (*wah!*) Today, though, I'm in slippers, letting my poor feet recover from all the walking!

Brandi I'm obsessed with my Frye boots that I got this fall. Just the smell of the leather makes me happy.

I was actually just looking for some boots too! I also have the wide calf (and wide foot) problem and tried some wide-shaft boots on at a Naturalizer outlet that fit pretty well, but I couldn't decide if I wanted black or brown, so I never got them. I'd love some that are brown and black, but I'm not sure those exist that would fit me. I also can't find skinny jeans to fit, so even if I found boots, I'm not sure I have any clothes at all that I could wear them with.

It is so freaking hard for me to find boots! I have wide feet and skinny calves. I have a pair of brown Cole Haan riding boots from a few years ago, and I adore them, but I haven't been able to find a pair of black boots that work for my body. I have a gazillion pairs of skinny jeans, but I don't wear them as much as I'd like in the winter.

For those of you who can't fathom wearing skinny jeans, try cigarette jeans with boots instead. They feel a bit more "adult", and they're usually not cut as tight as skinnys. If you have wide ankles, they might give you a little extra room. My favorite jeans to wear with boots are my Joe's cigarette jeans. Worth every penny.

I wore my boots with a skirt. I don't know if that's okay but I liked it.

Yay! I did it right! I had a skirt that covered the top 2-3 inches of my boots.

The boots I have are on sale at a great price this weekend so DH let me get them in black! Woohoo! Now I have to patiently wait for them to arrive.
