I have never owned a pair of rain boots, but in the past few years I can definitely see where they could be useful, especially when taking the dog out during rainy fall/winter days. Now that I have a 10 minute walk to and from my parking deck during the work day, the idea of something that protects my feet from rain and cold during the cooler months is tempting.
But - are these worth the price? I know, there are cheaper options. But as with many designer things, so many of the reviews suggest that the cost is worth it because they have been disappointed by other brands. Are these good for rain and snow? We don't get much snow here, but when we do both DH and I are always a little taken aback when we realize how unprepared we are, footwear wise. On days when I have to walk to my building when there is still remnants of snow on the ground - I hate the frigid cold on my feet!
If they are fairly multipurpose they may be worth the price. Plus, I have a $60 Nordstrom gift card that I haven't yet used, so that also makes me more included to shell out the $$ if they are worth it.
