As soon as our sitter gets here, I'm headed to Von Mauer, but I'm less than hopeful. I'm also going to swing by the consignment store first, but there is a better chance of me winning the lotto than the dress being there. I could have sworn I kept the blue one. I'm disproportionately upset about this :/

I wish you luck at VM. What about Dillards? They might have something there too. Somehow I doubt the dress is at the consignment shop.

I'll have to check at Dillard's if there's nothing at VM. They just moved VM into a new building down by the Marriott, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed. It's times like these that I really wish I lived in Chicago. Macy's would have something...waaaaahhhh

Since I'm buying something, should I go black or blue or something different? I tried on a deep burgundy satin dress yesterday, but anything shiny like that makes my boobs look HUGE (in a weird, bad way). What will I get the most wear out of? I'm assuming I can wear a blue dress to any number of events, right? I may live-post from the dressing room on FB...

With your coloring jewel tones would look really good...deep reds, blues, etc. Black also looks good on your creamy skin (oh man that just sounded so creepy, sorry) but blends in with the crowd unless you've got some stand out accessories, I think...

I think blue and red looked awesome on you

Agreed with CG - a burgundy or royal blue or maybe even an emerald green/teal. Or...aubergine. I just love jewel tones and dont' think you could go wrong with any of those.

Ok, so here is the dress:

And here are my earring options (I just pulled out one of each except the two new pairs):

Thoughts? I'm thinking farthest to the right...

I also like top left but can't make out stone color.

The other pair of NY&Co are black with CZ around the border.

I know the dress decision has been made (yay!) but I just have to express my sadness about the blue dress. That was so lovely!!

They would work too, especially if you are wearing black shoes/bag.
