Yeppers. 3 interviews down, and 1 hint of an "offer to come" followed by 2 promises of "an offer by" and discussion of start date ... no offer yet. :|

          We have an answer....

          And the answer is YES!!!!!

So DH is now officially a specialist, we don't have to rent out our recently purchased house and move somewhere else for work, there's no risk of having to move back to Japan and 120+ hour weeks, and he has three weeks of holidays (the first in I can't even remember how long) starting from Friday.

I'm feeling GOOD today!!!! What a relief. Thank you for all your support!

            YEAH!!!!! :ra:

As someone that's terribly late to this thread it's good to be the first to congratulate you. I'm glad it worked out.

And Jenn.....boo! I thought you were moving back to Cleveland! :> (But good luck with the negotiations anyway!)

              CONGRATULATIONS Robyn! Drinks for everyone!

Angie - sorry babe. I miss lots of people there, but not Cleveland -- and NOT the hospital people .... . Still kicking myself for not taking the opportunity to meet you when you offered to store stuff for me though.

Thanks so much. I feel like I've got my own personal cheer squad!

I think the real difference this will make will be in the area of job security. As an overseas-trained doctor, there's always that cloud of uncertainty hanging over your head, until you get a permanent position. DH is definitely happier already, although still just as tired and working just as long! He starts the new position (same hospital) from January, and I imagine he'll be working extra hard to create a good impression, but at least there'll be some downtime before then, for us to maybe reconnect a little.

Thanks again for all your support. You guys rock!
