    I thought they were keeping him alive so that they could nurse his leg back to health to breed him. I'm curious if they can do IVF now that you say you've seen this done before.

        You're not nuts. I was sad too. I thought that just a couple of days before they put him down the owner said that he was confident he'd recover and he sees no reason to put him down.

          I was really sad about this when he first got injured and was keeping track of his progress. And now I'm obviously really sad he didn't make it; however, I think they did the right thing considering he was in pain. Poor guy.

          There's no way I could get a pet. I got attached to horse I never even saw in person!
