I dream of one day owning a Dyson--but maybe it's because all my friends either want or own one. In truth I have a Hoover that cost my around $100 10 years ago. The thing still works great on carpet and hardwood floors/tile floors.
Still to own a Dyson... *sigh*

If you know which one you want, you should check out Overstock.com, too. They have hipping is free, no taxes. You can return stuff if you don't like it, but you've got to mail it back, of course (no brick-and-mortar store).

Overstock also charges restocking fees, so I only buy from them if I absolutely know I won't be returning stuff.
