If you're looking for a dressier shoe (for non-OR days) my husband also swears by Allen Edmunds. I'm pretty sure those are available at Nordstroms too. But they're pricey - you definitely wouldn't wear them in the OR or in a situation where you would get bodily fluids on them, DH only wears them in clinic with his suit.

My dh likes Allen Edmunds with a suit as well. They are comfy and also good lookin'. I think these are the ones he has - I got them new on ebay for a great price - he just tried them on in the store first (Nordstroms) to check size and fit:

If anyone is getting $300 shoes in my house, it will be me. Just like if anyone is getting $80 shoes in my house, it is me.

My hubby is cheap when it comes to his shoes (and that works fine for me). Sneakers are bought at the outlet on sale. He wears Crocs with his scrubs -- he likes to be able to wash them off quickly. Even his Sketchers were bought at an outlet. LOL

DH also swears by his Danskos, Allen Edmunds, Eccos and Cole Haan Nike Air. We just got his Eccos re-soled with new inserts for a small fee (you send them back to Ecco- NuShoe) and we just got a new pair of Cole Haans because they too stand behind their product. DH wore out the sole and since the Nike Air cannot be re-soled, they sent him a voucher to pick out a new pair.

I think they were about $125 on ebay... new and actually from a shoe store. I think someone special ordered the width and then did not buy them. I wouldn't want to spend $300 on his shoe's either!!!

DH bought a pair of Borns and he now wears them daily. He loves them.

Dittio here. These are the pair dh has and absolutely loves them more than any other shoe he's ever worn. He's tried other brands, but usually abandons them for sneakers, but not with these. He actually prefers these to sneakers.
