OK, I'll third Wild Ginger. Loved the food and the atmosphere; it came highly recommended to DH and I when we went up for my birthday a few weeks ago.

      HOWEVER...

If $ isn't an issue, then you definitely have to eat at Waterfront. Holy crap, this is THE most amazing restaurant DH and I have ever eaten at! The food, the atmosphere, the view...it sits right on the water. You have to try it!

      Have fun...I LOVE Seattle!

I just looked at the Wild Ginger menu. Yum! I'll have to add that to my maybe someday kidless trip to Seattle.

You are going to have such a great time!

We don't have our flights booked yet, but we plan on being in Seattle during the first week of January. If you're around, we could definitely go there together!

If you like that site, here are some others for the area, with an emphasis on Portland.

                    Re: Seattle Restaraunt Suggestions

We got back from Seattle yesterday. We had a blast. The restaraunts you suggested were wonderful, especially Wild Ginger. The food was excellent and the service was probably the best service we have ever experienced. At one time during the meal, I dropped my chopstick. Since the waiter was clear across the room, I told Dh I would mention that I need another one when the waiter returns. He came over immediately with brand new chopsticks. He must of seen me drop it, because I never said anything to him. Additionally, Dh ordered a Ginger Martini, which was too strong for him. We didn't say anything to the waiter because we just assumed that Dh ordered wrong - there was nothing wrong with the drink. The waiter had even told Dh that these martini's are strong. When the waiter saw that Dh didn't drink it, he asked Dh if he didn't like it. Dh said it was too strong for him. When the bill came, they didn't even charge us for the drink even though we never made such a request. We were shocked that they would do that. Excellent place!!!

Thank you for your suggestions!!! They were perfect.
