    Re: Someone shoot me

Janet, BE STRONG! (I am in awe...a day without coffe is like a day without coffee! OMG...)

    Jenn,

Congrats on the Potty training. Where is our confetti canon icon? Can I send Kendall to Rick for a week? She's great with pee, but refuses to poop anywhere but on her own throne. I'm tired of either having crappy panties out in public or lugging around her potty chair. Kendall is on the first flight down to SA for Rick's magic.

      Re: Someone shoot me

I gave up my coffee when we were TTC since we were having so many issues. During my pregnancy I have limited myself to one soda/day, I'm looking forward to going back to my coffee, hopefully she handles it ok with breastfeeding.

Hang in there! You'll feel so much better once you stop aching from caffeine withdrawal. I used to get migraine headaches that only caffeine would relieve, but once I cut caffeine completely out of my diet (including black tea), I never again craved the caffeine or had another caffeine-related migraine.

Am I the only one who feels better when "on" caffeine? I've "quit" before, but I drag and I am not as productive. My body feels better when I drink coffee daily.

            Re: Someone shoot me

I was doing fine when I had my one half-cup a day while pregnant. But since giving birth I've slowly ramped it back up and now I can barely get moving before my second cup, and often need a soda at noon to keep my caffeine levels primed. I do feel great while it's working, LOL!

Coffee is good for you, drink up people!

Sorry I prefer to have company with my addiction.
See you at the coffee house, Tara!

Tara and Stella, I'm right there with you!

Black tea keeps me up (awake) much worse than coffee. I can drink coffee after dinner and go to sleep just fine. If I drink tea after dinner I'm at bedtime.

Good luck breaking through, Janet. Tell us what it's like on the other side.

I made it a whole week using black tea, then ended up having a day where I needed coffee. I have to start over.

Don't beat yourself up over a cup of coffee!! You're going to stress yourself out so much that you'll need a cup of coffee AND a glass of wine.

                        Re: Someone shoot me

When pregnant, for some reason I couldn't drink coffee, decaf or otherwise. It was one of my "nausea foods". But as soon as the babies were outta there, I was just as hooked as ever. I love it. Coffee is a great pleasure to me. I love coffeehouses, coffee grinding, everything. DH drinks coffee now because of me. Totally addicted, and I am not cutting back. No way...

Complete caffeine addict here, married to a coffee snob so I'd sooner give up...well, OK, I'm not giving up any of my other vices, either.

But there's nothing better than a fresh cup of coffee first thing in the morning.

                          Yowza.

                            Re: Someone shoot me

Around here I am looked at as a coffee snob because I can't stomach dunkin donuts. I also can't take the burnt drip starbucks coffee. I really do think it makes a difference with sleep patterns for my babes (maybe we're a chemically sensitive family) so I'll try again. But smelling it in the morning when it is off limits is torture.

okay, you're my soul mate. I HATE starbucks and dunkin dounuts!! they're bitter and strong and way over priced.

                              *sigh* i love you.

Maybe you'll hit the jackpot this time and get a baby who sleeps well despite a caffeinate mama.
