They should make stir bars that you can use for cooking on your stove at home. I'm making spaghetti, the house is quiet...and I want to post a little here while the noodles get stirred without me! I just walked over there an they were all clumped together.

Well, I could probably score the bars easily...but the whole convert the stove so that the stir bars actually work part of it might be a little tough...unless I want to cook over a hotplate with magnetic parts.

ETA We had lasagne Saturday

I had no idea what a "stir bar" was, but think I've got the gist from the other posts.

If you salt the water liberally and stir a bit right after putting them in, they won't clump. But I'm all for a stirring stick for risotto.
