Re: dunno where this belongs... feeling overwhelmed

    Ditto to everyone elses comments.

At this point in our lives, the only good thing I can see about being married to an "almighty dawkter" (haha, I love that) is all the free pens. We are literally swimming in them.

The other night my husband got home at 6:30 PM--which in this world as we know is WAY early--and we just ate dinner, hung out and watched The Biggest Loser. My daughter wrestled with us, drew pictures--it was very Brady Bunch. This is the only evening we have had like this in at least 2 1/2 YEARS. I kept thinking "Is this how it is for normal people?"

Amy, I have no advice. But please know you are not alone.

p.s. My name is Amy too.

I keep hoping, against my better judgement, that when we hit attendinghood all will get better.
It gets better in some ways and worse in others. There is no 80 work week in attendinghood. The only people to stop them from working 80 hours or 110 hours a week are...themselves.

and sometimes they just can't help themselves. and other times they feel like they have to go in to check on X patient or X resident or whatever.

Oh well, life w/ the mistress known as medicine.

A very belated THANK YOU to all who replied.

I was afraid to post, thinking I would get "you need to organize your life more" or "be grateful your husband has a job". (Which would be true but...lol)

It's so nice to hear "I understand.: *sniff*

        You mamas rock!!

Yeah - that's not iMSN. We tend to commiserate.

And to your point -- we just bought webcams today b/c my dh will be out of town for the next 10 days. And I AM trying to just be grateful that he has a job ... his employer re-organized this week and someone from his group go.

            You are so not along.
