Hi All,
Max and I are going to Hawaii for my step-mom's family reunion over Thanksgiving. We saved all last year for the tickets and I'm SO excited. We leave on Friday for 8 days and my Dad and Stepmom agreed to pick up our share of the timeshare where we're staying so we can afford to attend. Anyway, as a small token of our gratitude, Max and I have agreed to cook 2 nights while we're there (other people are assigned other days). Wondering if anyone has any bright ideas.
Things to keep in mind:
1) I have to feed 8-10
2) Food is 4x more expensive so fancy ingredients are out
3) A grill and oven are included plus a few assorted pots and pans but fancy kitchen utensils will not be available
4) I want to use everything I buy so expensive sauces or things I can't use completely are less attractive
I've made kabobs before but Max doesn't want to do that again (why? I'm not really sure. He just doesn't). I'd love to use local ingredients like pineapple or something and obviously my winter recipes are out because we're in the tropics. Anyway, let me know if you guys have any bright ideas!
Thanks!
