We are only 17 days away from our wedding, and things are full force crazy. DF is on a very hard rotation (read: helpless) so everything is falling on me to finish. :/
I'm feeling a little portly instead of sexy (stress?) and trying to round things up for a successful move/transition into his current residence.
After the wedding, I will be job hunting and working on a conference-style paper for submission in late summer.
We welcomed a new addition to our pet family: Titus the puppy is 4 months old now and will start basic obedience, handling or agility within the next month (after the wedding and the move). He's just wonderful, and fits in well with my current dog, Rhett. The cat, of course, hates him.

Looking forward to: applying for law school, studying for the LSAT, and meeting Kirsty in L.A. for coffee sometime soon!

Well, as of July 1 we will have been done wtih training for three full years! WHOOO HOOO!

This is our last week of school. DD will be a first grader next year and DS #1 will be Pre-K. Crazy. For the first time EVER they will be in school at the same time (not the whole time -- but that's okay.) Where has the time gone?

DS#2 will turn one next month! I'm so glad I'm NOT going to be pregnant this summer!!! (or the mother of a new infant).

We're still considering relocating and will likely return for our second interview mid-July. Because this interviewing process is so FREAKIN slow (and in my mind painful) IF this job is THE JOB, we will likely move mid school year. Major suckage. But I'm getting ahead of myself since I thought we were moving twice this past year and it didn't work out.

With visitors (MIL, my parents, DH's golf buddies, and a few friends) holidays and our big family reunion out East, our summer is busy but not completely crazy and I am going to keep it that way.

This summer we have soccer and swimming lessons to help us pass the weeks with nothing planned. I plan on spending a lot of time at the pool and have sitters twice a week for a couple of hours.

It looks like it will be a good summer for us. Now if I just knew if we were relocating or not....

DS is gone for five weeks. Two with my ILs; three with my folks.

Loving the one-on-one time with DD, but really missing the little guy. Everything around seems to remind me of him, and I'm always thinking, "Oh, he would LOVE this" or "Man, he would say something really smarty-pants about that..."

So it turns out I have whooping cough. I finished my z-pack yesterday and still feel quite a bit rotten, although I am now sleeping through the night. Three days of dawn-to-dusk meetings in the city, and sleeping in a hotel probably didn't help much. Neither did coming home to a filthy house. How DH can filth up a house in 3 days, I have no clue. But the man has skills.

Anyhow, I am alive but terribly swamped. Hope you guys are doing great!
Lily: TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF!! My mom battled whooping cough last year. It took her well over six months to fully recover (and still has residual lung capacity decrease). Do everything the doctors says to do and take it seriously. I can't believe what happened to my mom (her treatment was delay due to misdiagnosis). Hoping you feel better soon!

Wow, seems like there are big changes going on for a lot of you this month. Congrats to all the grads. I can't believe it has been a year since we started residency. Time has flown by, but we have both grown so much this year. It has been a good year.

The biggest thing going on for me this summer is the birth of our baby... a girl... due the 26th. I am trying all the old wives tales to get her born already!

Congrats to everyone that has big life changes over the next couple of months!
For us, June is the last month of PGY3. Three years down, two to go. Chief call starts in July, so call is taken a week at a time from here on out. Lots of dance competitions and swim meets this summer. Hoping to rent a beach house one week next month and have a no pager, no cell phones, no computer week.

Well, MY NEWS FIRST!!!! I got promoted in my annual review on Friday. It was quite unexpected given that I work 50% of the time from Cleveland and I know the whole company has down numbers for the year. I'm the only person in my whole class to get promoted. They said they are doing it "to incentivize me to stick with the job even though it's tempting to look for something in Cleveland because I'm really good at this job". I'm SO happy. I was really struggling with whether this was still the right fit for me but this promotion means a lot more visibility into mgmt decisions so I think I'll be a lot happier.

                        Other news:
                        1. DF takes Step 1 June 26th. Per usual he's overprepared and is even talking about moving up his test date (which I counseled against because you'll be murderous if you don't do as well as you want)
                        2. We're getting married in <4 months!!! I switch between excited and panicked about that fact (just cause we have so much to do) but you caught me on an excited day.
Married to a Urology Attending! (that is an understated exclamation point)
Mama to C (Jan 2012), D (Nov 2013), and R (April 2016). Consulting and homeschooling are my day jobs.
