Valentine's day

Well, goodness, we don't have anything really special planned... We bid on a house today, so I guess that will be our BIG Valentine's present to each other, that is, if we get it... haha!!

On Thursday night, we are supposed to go out with My MOPS friends & husbands to a local restaurant, but I haven't found a babysitter yet... so, we shall see if it happens...

My exhusband and I moved to Wichita Falls in 1990 because he grew up there. We divorced about 2 years later and I stayed there for a few more years because of my sons. I worked at Wichita General Hospital for 5 years as a Respiratory Therapist. My now Husband just happened to be from Wichita Falls and was on a week break between 2nd and 3rd years in Med School in Fort Worth. On the last night of his break he was hanging with some friends at Parkway Grille. I was with a group of coworkers out at the Grille for Karaoke night. I caught his glance as I was walking off stage and the rest is history. I only stayed in WF for another 6 months and then moved to the DFW area. Believe me, once you leave that place you will have no regrets about never looking back. DH doesn't even go back anymore.

ps. We just had a party at the daycare of the gym I go to. It was fun, but the real story was all the extra Valentine cards we had. Drew picked out the cards last night (nothing like last minute!). Anyway, the are all boy, bunch of trucks in the mud, motorcycles, and jeeps. We took the extras and he wrote as best he could and hid them all over the house for his Mom. I took some and wrote some really "cheesy" things on them too. Just to share, the one with the monster truck in the mud, "Our love is 'like a ROCK'....another truck in the mud, 'our love is built Ford Tough'... now I know that probably infringes on someones rights for copyright but it was fun and should give Gretchen a smile.

I was feeling pretty bummed last night because we were supposed to order our traditional subs for V-Day (can't do it tonight or anytime his weekend because he won't be around) and I guess we didn't finalize it, so he came home at 8:30 without even calling me. By then I had fed and bathed the kids and was steaming mad!!! Anyhow, he felt pretty bad--I told him I had made him a card but he probably wouldn't get it! This morning, he went in around 6am, so I was asleep. After we got home from reading hour I turned on my computer and a really sweet message popped up! So, he is totally forgiven for last night!
Anyhow, I hope the rest of you have a fantastice time tonight and get a chance to go out or do something special with your S.O.!!!
