DH just got a new steth, and had it engraved with something along the lines of "stolen from" with his name and number. Basically, he knows that if it goes missing, it won't be because he has misplaced it.

Mrs. MD came home in tears one evening after having her wedding ring stolen from her locked call room. Oddly they left her purse and wallet.
I guess as long as she wasn't robbed at gunpoint, I am thankful...but there is a searing gale of flatus waiting for thieves in Hell, I am sure...
