I can't say that "2DmnAdvanced" as a tagline does much to refute the "conceited and/or pompous" impression...

Mine is a result from an old e-mail address - a spin on the word "dolphin."
Doll (beautiful woman) fin. Dolphin --> Dollfin.
I never thought of myself as a doll, but my mom used to tell me I was pretty wild (up in trees, covered in mud, missing items of clothing as a child).
Doll? Not me, but Wild, yeah, that's me
      Wild-fin.
      Wildfin.

      (I am a huge dork).

I wondered if you were Finnish. I guess that would be Wildfinn?

I wish I could claim to be that cool. I'm just an Irish/German mutt
I LOVE the name Finn though!

My happy place is At The Beach. My favorite vacations involve the family just BEING at the beach, and everything that goes with that - swimming, boating, fishing, playing in the sand, Scrabble at night, etc...

I'm not at the beach where we currently live. Not that I'm not happy here, but I'm definitely not at a warm, white sand, clear water beach here.

I urban dictionaryed my name (Heidi) too. I'm okay with 1-5, after that...not so much.

              These are so great!

In Cherokee mythology, Selu is the Corn Mother. She puts down the roots, provides nourishment, but her magical powers can be threatening. She gets sacrificed a lot, but always forgives.

I think my name is self explanatory. I am a med wife and 517 are random numbers.

                  Not very creative.

I remember the name change craziness that took place here a while back. Can we please Never do that again. I was confused for months... HA who am I kidding. I am still confused.

Warning, this is going to set off the "nerd alert".

Originally, my screen name was a set of initials. Then came the big name change storm which occurred during one of the darker phases of residency for me. It also happened at a time when I was in the middle of reading the HP series to my first born.

House elf refers to a subclass of individuals in the Harry Potter series. Like me, they are diminuitive, simple minded, loyal to their own detriment, hedonistic, and prone to excess gorging of butter beer. Essentially, house elves cheerfully go about their business while they caring for the menial needs of the major characters of the book. They would make *fabulous* medical spouses.

I can hear you all fake coughing under your breath <dork>

My favorite is Lakshmi (my friends will attest to my determination to find a nice but inexpensive Lakshmi statue in Udaipur!).

                          From wikipedia:
[Lakshmi is] the Hindu goddess of wealth, prosperity, light, wisdom, fortune, fertility, generosity and courage; and the embodiment of beauty, grace and charm.

My name is Julia, and my screen name is from the Beatles song Julia:

"Julia... Julia... ocean child... calls me. So I sing a song of love for Julia."

The other verse is seashell eyes. Ocean child appeals to me more because I have always loved the ocean.

My best friend in high school was a Beatles fanatic, and she would sing the song in the school hallways to get my attention.
