Still around. I had a nasty cold (?flu) which really knocked me down for the last two weeks, but I'm mostly over it now. DW is now on the second week of her second block: overall UME is three months down, 31 to go.

She's starting to explore different possibilities of specialties, but unfortunately shadowing is suspended for the duration (all unnecessary patient contact by med students is suspended on account of H1N1). Possibly leaning towards EM; ideal case would be a solid block of residency in one location, so FP, various surgeries, EM are currently more popular in our household than 3-2-2 type programs.

Trying to get the kids out of the house and run them more, which is hard in winter; I don't like cold.

Well, come on down Sam- this is the best time of year to come to San Antonio, TX! It's 70 degrees and sunny!.

Seriously, that's just mean. It was only 40 degrees here today, and it's not even winter yet!

and weren't you all getting tired of my complaining with our 60+ days of over 100 degrees this summer? It all evens out in the end, my friends.
