    Thanks for all the support!
They gave me the wrong sized brace, and yesterday was my first day in the right size. So much better
Today I went in for my initial visit to PT -- the real work starts next Tuesday, but the DPT (?) had me try to do "Alphabet Soup" with my foot.
I got to the letter "E," and had to rest. It was either resting, or punching him in the face for asking me to try and heal. *snicker*

Last update: no more crutches! I am now "walking" in my brace, 7 weeks after surgery. I feel like Igor (*whomp, slide, drag: whomp, slide, drag*) but anything is better than relying on crutches and trying to do homework, etc. Hooray!

Yay on the no crutches! Hopefully, your foot will be singing the alphabet again very soon! LOL

I hated trying to do the "Alphabet" after my foot surgery! Yay for no crutches.

Home stretch time - they are unlocking the bolts on my brace tonight (I left the key at home. D'oh!) and adding dorsi/planar flexion to the action of walking.
I may need to reintroduce the crutches for a day or two, just to better acclimate to flexion while walking again. But, so excited!

PT is getting more challenging, but I'm getting stronger - I have leg raises/extensions to work on my hips, marbles, golf balls, towels, etc. They're adding weights (!) and "uneven surfaces" to the mix next week.
          I'll keep you posted!
